CAC is an Artist Initiated Nonprofit Projects that was founded in Chiang Mai, Thailand in January 2013. The main objective is to collect and provide art information​​, enhance exchange and collaboration through cultural activities. ​We produce Chiang Mai Art Map and are running a website as a platform for us and the public to create and share art information. The website contains updated art maps, ​a list of art spaces, events, ​artist's profiles, and ​journals. This​ ​platform aim​s​ to reflect the history and also predict the future of the art scene in Chiang Mai through data bank. However, they do encourage and build physical connection and interaction in the form of various activities to further the growth of the art community and its public audience. ​For 3 years (2016-2019), CAC partnered with the Japan Foundation Asia Center to operate Asian Culture Station (ACS). It ​was​ a project that CAC extended our activities to exchange and collaborate with art and culture experts in Southeast Asia and Japan. ACS was CAC's first physical office on Nimmanhemin Road, Chiang Mai.​ Currently, the new ​physical office​ is still in the same neighborhood on Sirimangkalajarn road. At the new home, we share the space with Project 304.

CAC (บทสนทนาศิลปะเชียงใหม่) เป็นโครงการริเริมโดยกลุ่มศิลปินโดยไม่แสวงหาผลกำไร ก่อตั้งขึ้นในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ใน เดือนมกราคม พ.ศ. 2556 เป้าหมายหลักของเราคือการสะสมและให้ข้อมูลทางศิลปะของเชียงใหม่ เพิ่มพูนการแลกเปลี่ยนและร่วมมือกันทำงานโดยผ่านกิจกรรมทางวัฒนธรรม เราสร้างแผนที่ออนไลน์เพื่อเป็นพื้นที่รวมรวมและเผยแพร่ แผนที่ศิลปะ, รายชื่อที่ข้อมูลที่จำเป็นของของพื้นที่ทางศิลปะ, กิจกรรม, ผู้ประกอบอาชีพทางศิลปะ ในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่, พื้นที่เขียนข่าวสาร ทั้งนี้เรายังรวบรวมและผลิตข้อมูลที่เกี่ยวข้องอีกด้วย เราพยายามที่จะให้ข้อมูลเหล่านี้สะท้อนภาพของหน่วย และกิจกรรมทางศิลปะเชียงใหม่ใน อดีต จนถึงปัจจุบัน อย่างไรก็ตามแผนงานนี้จะเป็นตัวกระตุ้นให้มีการติดต่อ มีปฏิสัมพันธ์ กับองค์ประกอบและกิจกรรมทางศิลปะเชียงใหม่ทางกายภาพด้วย เพื่อส่งเสริมการเจริญเติบโตของชุมชนศิลปะ และผู้ชมสาธารณะ ในปี 2559-2562 เราได้เป็นร่วมทำงานกับ Japan Foundation Asia Center ในการดำเนินโครงการ Asian Culture Station (ACS) ขึ้น มันเป็นโครงการที่ขยายกิจกรรมของเราไปสู่การแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ และร่วมงานกันของ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านศิลปะวัฒนธรรมในอุษาคเนย์และญี่ปุ่น ทั้งนี้ Asian Culture Station ได้กลายเป็นสถานที่ทำงานทางกายภาพแห่งแรกของเราบนถนนนิมมานเหมินท์ เชียงใหม่ พื้นที่ใหม่ย้ายยังคงอยู่ในย่านเดิมบนถนนศิริมังคลาจารย์ ที่นี่เราได้ใช้พื้นที่ร่วมกันกับ Project 304.

The key objective of CAC

Assembling data and knowledge of art, and building up the information center. We started with people and bodies of knowledge that aim to reinforce the art scene in Chiangmai and neighboring provinces connecting and disseminating information on art which are art spaces, people, news, art activities, and any other related aspect to the public via the online platform. Another important objective is an offline collaboration of each sector in the art circle, from networking art audiences, exchanging information, making an exhibition, or other creative activities. Ultimately, we hope that the relationship of our online platform and offline collaboration will function as value-added, the strength of art career activity, and knowledge of art, economics, and society in Chiangmai and neighboring provinces. It may extensively lead to proper cooperation with the government.

วัตถุประสงค์ของ CAC

คือการสร้างศูนย์ข้อมูลและความรู้ทางด้านศิลปะ โดยเริ่มผลิตทั้งบุคลากรและองค์ความรู้ สำหรับสร้างความแข็งแรงให้ศิลปะในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่และจังหวัดใกล้เคียง โดยการเชื่อมโยงและเผยแพร่ ส่วนประกอบของศิลปะ อันได้แก่ ข้อมูลของพื้นที่ทางศิลปะ บุคคล ข่าวสาร กิจกรรมทางศิลปะ และอื่นๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง สู่สาธารณะ โดยผ่านระบบฐานข้อมูลออนไลน์ ที่มีพลวัตรร่วมไปกับสังคมปัจจุบัน เป้าหมายสำคัญถัดมาคือการสร้างความร่วมมือกันระหว่างส่วนประกอบของศิลปะดังกล่าวนั้น ออฟไลน์ในหลายระดับ ตั้งแต่การสร้างเครือข่ายของผู้ชมศิลปะ การแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูล การจัดนิทรรศการร่วมกัน หรือโครงการสร้างสรรค์อื่นๆ ร่วมกัน สุดท้ายเราหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่า ข้อมูลออนไลน์และการสร้างความร่วมมือออฟไลน์นี้จะเป็นกลไกที่ ทำให้เกิดการเพิ่มมูลค่าและความเข้มแข็งของอาชีพ กิจกรรมและความรู้ทางศิลปะ เศรษฐกิจ และสังคมในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่และใกล้เคียง ทั้งยังต่อยอดไปสู่ การสร้างความมีส่วนร่วมกับภาครัฐอย่างจริงจังมากขึ้น
