Description

The exhibition is meant to present works by the most prolific and celebrated Thai artists who move or live some period of time in Chiang Mai. Araya is the first to move to Chiang Mai in 1980s before moved to Germany and remain here till date. Rirkrit moves to Chiang Mai in the 1990s and still manage his time between Chiang Mai, New York and Berlin. Apichatpong was born in Bangkok, and grew up in Khon Kaen; he moves to Chiang Mai in 2000s and remain here ever since. Montien spent some period of his life in Chiang Mai in the late 1980s to mid 1990s before move back to Bangkok.

All works in the exhibition are produced in Chiang Mai or somehow inpired from the living in Chiang Mai. The exhibition comprises with artists’ signature works from 1990s to date ranging from installation, mixed-media, drawing, sculpture, photograph, video and performance.
