About

Combining a large house and gallery designed by Udom Dansakchai, the Toot Yung art center promotes Thai artists and hosts international artists to explore local nature, culture and customs and produce artworks hand in hand with Chiang Mai craftsmen. Our will is to create an ideal space where foreign and local artists, art amateurs, but also artisans, musicians, writers can meet and be inspired by the flourishing nature and culture of the Chiang Mai province and its surroundings.

Since 2010 the Toot Yung Art Center directed by French curator Myrtille Tibayrenc proposes high quality contemporary art exhibitions and cultural events. Specialised in Thai contemporary arts, the gallery also focuses on inviting foreign artists for residencies and exhibitions. The Toot Yung Art Center is also one of the main organisers of the Bukruk Street Art Festival.

The Toot Yung art center has relocated in Mae Rim Chiang Mai, and will propose exhibitions, outdoor installations and events as well as international artists residency programs. Open on appointment and public opening/events first week end of the month.
